As an FA Charter Standard Development Club, we have been adjudged by The FA to be a Club that is well-run, sustainable and which prioritises child protection, quality coaching and the implementation of the FA Respect programme.
Launched in 2001, The FA Charter Standard Programme is The FA's accreditation scheme for grassroots football. Its goal is to raise standards by supporting the development of clubs with access to the County FA and FA regional workforces. In recognising commitment and rewarding achievements, the programme gives you confidence in the choice of club you make.
The FA has awarded Leighton Town Youth Football Club Development status as we have demonstrated that we are enhancing the quality and scope of our football offering. Our challenge is to progress to the top level of Community status which acknowledges the most advanced level of club development and football provision.
Our FA Charter Standard status, as signalled by use of the coveted Three Lions FA crest, is a clear affirmation to all parents, sponsors and the public, that Leighton Town Youth Football Club:
- Is well-organised, safe and inclusive.
- Provides FA qualified coaches as standard.
- Prioritises Child Welfare.
- Adheres to FA Respect Policies and Codes of Conduct.
- Demands the highest levels of discipline and behaviour.
