Leighton Town Youth Season 2006 - 2007

LTYFC have had a fantastic end to the season and have won six pieces of silverware for the season 2006 - 2007 along with an end of season tournament victory.

Earlier last month Nick Georgiou's U-15 team won Division Four of the Milton Keynes League while Vicky Janes' U-13s won Division Two of the Chiltern Youth league and Tony Nottingham's U-16s won the County Cup (read more...).

In addition to those successes, in the last 2 weeks Danny Greany's U-10s won the MK Junior 7s Division One title with a 100% record and narrowly missed out on a League and Cup “double” when beaten on penalties in the Final despite dominating the game (read more...).  Ian Kirkwood's U-12s won the MK Division One and Cup "double" despite having to play an unbelievable 5 games in 8 days.

The Club also came close to a few more titles with Craig Janes’ U-15s just pipped for the league, Nick Freeman's U-10s finishing runners-up in Divison Three of the Filmergraphics and Tony Nottingham's U-16s being narrowly beaten in their League Cup Final.

Finally a special well done to Richard Blythe's U-10 Girls who won the Club’s first ever girls trophy with victory in the Chiltern Junior 7s end of season tournament (read more...).

All in all, it's been a great season for the Club and we now look forward to celebrating it at the Presentation nights on the 15th & 16th June and, before that, at the Player’s Tournament on June 9th.
