LTYFC has reached the second stage of the charter standard scheme run by the Football Association after working hard for the past 3 years as a Charter Standard club. This award is held by only a hand full of Clubs within the county.
This scheme is set up and managed by the local Football Associations to govern the standards of all people involved in youth football and sets standards that have to be adhered to.
It looks at a variety of elements before allowing Clubs to become members. In the near future Clubs will not be allowed to exist without first satisfying the minimum standard. The behaviour of players, managers and parents involved in the Clubs is checked by the FA so that people can be happy in the knowledge that certain safe standards are being followed.
It sets standards in the care of the children, ensuring that all adults involved in the teams are checked by the CRB agency.
It sets standards in the coaching of the children ensuring that all the coaches are at least Level One trained and that a required number are Level Two and Three qualified.
It also sets out where the Club are aiming to be in the future. LTYFC have worked hard to achieve this latest standard and now look towards achieving the next rung on the lad der.
A lot effort has been put in by the Committee and in particular by Dave Evans who has been the Charter Standard representative for the Club with the FA. Thank you Dave. To get further information about any of the 18 teams at LTYFC check out the rest of our web site.
